First Free Jazz Festival in Brasília

Brasília will host the first edition of the Cerrado Jazz Festival fom 28th to 30th August at the National Museum of the Republic (outside area).  Free entry.

The festival will bring together national jazz musicians, including the brasiliense Pedro Martins, who has won this year's guitar competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the French pianist Laurent de Wilde.

Who has been in the capital for some time now, may already have had the chance to check out a lot of free events like the Bourbon Street Fest - Brasília, which takes place every year at the City Park - so you know it is worth making a note of it.
